DNV (Det Norske Veritas) is an independent foundation that aims to ‘identity, assess and advise on how to manage risk.' DNV (2010)

To demonstrate this the company have been assessed and ISO9001:2008 approved by an independent certification body for ‘The provision of project management services to the shipping and heavy lift sector including ship &barge chartering, engineering design, ship agency and marine services'. As stated by DNV, ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised quality management system that allows companies to standardise internal systems to provide verifiable confidence that all our projects are consistently well managed.

FPAL
Henry Abram & Sons are accredited by the FPAL (First Point Assessment) which was established in 1996 and is governed by market leaders within the Oil and Gas industry such as Shell, BP and Chevron.
FPAL ‘...works to identify, qualify, evaluate and monitor suppliers on behalf of its purchasing member...creating an effective supply chain.' Achilles (2010)
At present FPAL consists of over 2,700 suppliers and 80 purchasing organisations, as stated by Achilles FPAL, purchasing organisations can evaluate suppliers on their range of products, services, capabilities, and supply history, thus reducing costs and time.
